Our Fort Wayne dental practice was founded in 1987. In 1998, we relocated to our newer facility. The primary focus of our services is to deliver the very best of patient care, in a manner that brings confidence and comfort to our patients.
Meet Dr. Steven Ellinwood
Growing up, Dr. Steve’s father was a Methodist minister and his family moved around quite a bit. By the time he was in high school, Fort Wayne was the place they called home. It’s where he attended high school and put down real “roots” for the first time. After completing dental school, Dr. Steve returned to the area to establish his own practice.
Dr. Steve co-founded Sonrises Siempre, a non-profit agency that provides dental care to residents of developing nations. He also serves as the President of the School Board for the Medina Village School in Sierra Leone.
Now, his son is in dental school as well. He just has a few more years left at Indiana University to complete his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He may even come join our practice one day!
His professional affiliations include:
- American Dental Association – Council on Membership
- Indiana State Dental Association
- Academy of General Dentistry
- Isaac Knapp District Dental Society
- Graduate of Seattle Institute for Advanced Dental Education
- Kois Institute for Advanced Learning in Seattle
- Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation (DOCS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certified
When he isn’t at work, Dr. Steve is busy taking one of dozens of continuing education courses during the year or volunteering with the Matthew 25 Clinic. Not only is he an avid learner, Dr. Steve also teaches a materials course to dental students at IPFW and has been on the Fort Wayne Chamber of Commerce since 1990. He also plays a lot of golf and teaches a Sunday School class at his church.

He will also be working part-time at the Neighborhood Health Clinic helping our community receive dental care.
Dr. Chase and his wife Chelsea have moved back to Fort Wayne, and adopted Wink, their one-eyed pup!
Chelsea will be continuing to work as an R.N. for Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis, as well as coach gymnastics at Snider High School here in Fort Wayne. “We could not be more excited to return home to Fort Wayne!”
In their free time Dr. Chase and Chelsea like to spend time with family and friends. Wednesday is their special night together because they are both big Survivor fans, and don’t miss an episode. During the summer months you may run into them at Zesto’s or Hawaiian Ice since they visit these two establishments as much as possible.
We want you to please help us welcome Dr. Chase at your next visit!
